Hey there, I'm Trisha Barita. I'm a mother of twin girls, a wife, an entrepreneur, a psychology major, a lawyer, and a coach. With all these different roles in my life, in the past, I truly struggled with limiting beliefs in my ability to adequately juggle all these roles successfully, I often would be frustrated that time and again, I let my goals and dreams always take a backseat to everything else I was trying to do. And those dreams always seem to be on the horizon, just out of reach. Until I discovered tools and thought work to help me tackle and learn to balance all of it. Now, I don't let these titles define my limits. I define my balance in life, by how I choose to show up for myself every day. Am I perfect? Hell no far from it. But I do work every day to believe in myself, and to be present with whatever I experienced in this life, The Good, the Bad, and The really fucking ugly. to own my truth and own my thoughts. I created this podcast to talk about how that noise gets in the way of our goals as women. And now I help women and teach them tools to cut the overwhelm of noise in their life, preventing them from getting the balance they want. If you like this podcast and want to take my free course to get started on designing your balance, and saying fuck that noise, go to Trisha barita.com, forward slash free course. Now let's get after it.

Hello, fabulous friends. So I've been wanting to talk about this topic for a while, I was totally inspired by this workouts that I work out to that I love. And I laugh because a lot of the lyrics don't apply to me, but I just love the chorus. And so it's a it's it's pretty good. Um, it's called Zaid Wolf. And it's called a next level and kind of goes along with my theme here today. But anyway, so the, the course is I'm gonna keep on reaching for the next level. Let's, and I'm gonna keep on searching for it forever. Let's get to work. I mean, I feel those lyrics are like totally my jam. Because I truly believe it is all about that next level up. So this episode I named is taking next level massive action. And I wanted to talk a little bit about both those concepts, the concept of next level, and the concept of massive action. Okay, so next level, you know, at first, it seems obvious. If you want to go to the next level, you know, you're at this place with your goals. And now you want to go to this other place. And for those of you that have listened to Episode 10 of this podcast, you know, I'm all about the dream scary big when you're creating your goals. So if you haven't listened to that, go back there and hear about what I think about creating those dreams that are scary big. But this is more about. So you've made a little progress on your way to your chosen goal. And then you know, you've gained some confidence from that. But then you know what, you're at a bit of a crossroads, because you have to choose the next level up. And what is that next level for you. The reason that I feel that it's a crossroads is because you just got a little confidence that you can do this goal. So you want to pick the right next level. But now I feel like at this point, we're like in the middle of the Indiana Jones movie where the bad guy has to like pick the chalice that's the Holy Grail. And the room is like filled with like a million cups or chalices. And then of course like the bad you chooses the wrong cup and healing disintegrates into dust. Hopefully you guys know what I'm talking about but and then and then the old dude guarding the room with the Holy Grail is like he chose poorly. You don't want to be that. And of course then Indiana Jones aka like Harrison Ford is like supposed to take the next shot at picking out the Holy Grail. From all these like cut Epson, Charles is so he can save his dad, Sean Connery if you haven't seen it, or you haven't seen in a while, you know, it's Indiana Jones and Last Crusade 1989. I know, I know. I love get Indiana Jones. Anyway, the reason I feel the early next level choices are so important on the way to your goal is because if you, if you choose poorly, like the bad guy did, and you and you don't get to that next level, your competence can sometimes falter in whether you could achieve this goal at all. And that's really, really important, especially early on, especially if it is a really, you know, big goal for you, you want to build that confidence up in yourself that one that you're committing to, you know, doing something for yourself, and that you can find that time to do that. And to that you can actually accomplish this goal. And you know, it's hard if it's a goal you've never gone after before. If you're picking a goal where like, Hey, I'm gonna run a 5k, and you run like, you know, 25 K's, it may be a little different. But if it's a new, you know, kind of big scary dream goal, you know, you sometimes are seeking that sort of, oh, I can't do this, or this is proof, I can do this kind of thing at the beginning. And so your thoughts around the creation of the goal, and the attainability of the goal can kind of falter again. So I think picking that next level and being realistic about it is important. So my main suggestion is to be realistic when leveling up in those early stages. You know, getting those little wins, hitting those little goals can build your confidence. You want to be Indiana Jones, who picked the right chalice that turned out to be the Holy Grail, so he could save his dad, Sean Connery, you don't want to be the bad guy who turned into dust, you don't. So we thoughtful about how you will realistically level up. All right. Now massive action, the concept of massive action. I you know, I've coached a lot of women, around goals, all different kinds of goals that they've set for themselves, whether it's to be more present with their family members, or to lose weight, or to create a journaling or meditation goal and in all all different types of goals. And really what it comes down to is the idea of massive action, when you know, I first bring it up and talking with my coaching clients is they they have an idea of it being this huge thing that they're taking on that they need to have a massive action about a goal. It needs to be like crazy in their head that and it's very intimidating. And and, and it's interesting, because it is all around your thoughts about like, what is massive action, but you know, I like to have this discussion with them about what they think it is and what you know, what they really think would change the outcome of them being able to achieve this goal. And that's really what I think massive action is about, and your thoughts around that are important. So let me kind of explain what I'm thinking here. So. So what went out. While I think when you're picking the next level that I just went over, you should start realistic and sometimes pace it out. So that you can obtain those goals early on those little Level Ups early on, on your way to the big goal. But at some point, you will consistently need to take massive action in order for that to happen. So you could be picking a realistic level of goal but if you're not taking massive action, it's not gonna happen. So let's talk about what that means. So say someone goes to the gym, and they they lifted 15 pounds last week, but this week, they've decided they're gonna go to the gym and take massive action and lift 30 pounds. That's some people think that that would be a massive action piece of trying to you know, level up on where they're lifting their weights and the gym. Another one would be someone decides to run a marathon and they sign up for one that month. Even though they've never trained for a marathon, say they've run some five K's or 10 K's or whatever. And but they've never done a full marathon if you if you've done a full marathon or you know someone that's done a full marathon, the training and that is important for your your physical body. So that idea of signing up for one that month if you haven't been conditioned toward it. Some people think that that might be massive action or, you know, potential cause for injury but either way, you know, that idea of just, you know, pushing that type of goal right on you, especially with a marathon where you don't can't move the time of the marathon within a month and be able to train for it is that massive action, right? Or, you know, the idea of you want to create a meditation goal for yourself to meditate, like 30 minutes a day for seven days, you think, Okay, that seems realistic. But what if the person has only meditated like, one five minute meditation before. And so? Yes, while I find that it may feel good for a minute to push yourself and pick these kind of massive action steps when you're leveling up, I think sometimes it can just be that you aren't recognizing that the most massive action you can take for yourself, is to consistently show up for yourself over a period of however long it takes for you to get to the next level. And to eventually meet that goal. The person who goes to the gym and jumps from 15 pounds to attempting 30 pounds of lifting, besides possibly injuring themselves, they may not be able to do it, and then we're back in the boat, what I just told you about how it's so vital that, you know, you don't confuse your inability to take this sort of leap in this massive action step. As you're any sort of at all, you know, weight to whether or not you can accomplish the goal itself. So. So I think, you know, when you compare it to the person who goes over the course of the next two months, and pushes themselves a little more every week, and gets to those reps that they want to get at, and then gets to those, that 30 pounds, that that person showed an incredible amount of massive action. And the gift you get from that is all those weeks where you showed up for yourself, even when you didn't feel like it, even when you couldn't level up the way you wanted to that week. That my friends takes energy. And the reward is that you learn more about who you are in doing massive action that way instead of trying to force it upon yourself. Don't lose sight that the journey is part of the goal as well.

So if you want to get pumped up, go ahead and pick that song for you this week or today even you start thinking about you know, those goals that you have through the end of this year. And and think about you know, picking a song that sort of pumps you up to take that next level to take that massive action but my playlists suggestion to add your mix today's they say well next level may not be for everybody but I love it and it's good for it's a it's a good workout song kind of gets me pumped up at least maybe just ignore some of the stuff that maybe it doesn't apply to you but the beats really good. Anyway, I will leave you with that. Now go get after it. You got this
